Thinking about replacing my soft and bouncy KYB front dampers, don't want to buy over priced Bilsteins, has anybody tried the Monroe Reflex dampers ? The Monroe blurb sounds impressive but then it would wouldn't it....
-
Just changed my front struts.
Fitted Boge struts and Kilen coils at £205 quid all-in. No probs.
-
Interesting but my problem is that I'm running -40mm springs and need a damper which will cope with this.... ::)
-
Well KYB's wont cope with a 40mm drop and neither will Bilstein OEM's!
-
You're deffinately right about the KYB's, I'm pinning my hopes on the Monroe Reflex... I once had a set Monroe Sensa-tracs on a previous car with lowered springs, they were great.
-
Running Monroe reflex and -40 eibachs on the estate and no problems so far. The -40 is due to the extra weight of the DTI as they should only be -30.

Good news Steve, thanks for that :)

No problem, glad to get something to reply to for a change. :)

I have some Monroe adjustable estate shocks going here mate if your interested (although gotta work out how to get em off the car lol)
-
I would drop an email to the Monroe tech helpline asking what the maximum drop the refelx strutts can handle is.

Already talking to Monroe mate, they're a little bit non commitle but we're getting there...
