When going over speed bumps etc there is quite a lot of shake on the autobox shifter. Both engine mountings appear to be in good nick with not to much play - is it likely to be the gearbox mounting ?
-
You know, that's a good point - mine does the same thing.
Solid as a rock when driving on flat roads, though, so I didn't think it was worth worrying about. Now I have something else to worry about! ;)

Think they all do it to varying degrees TBH.
Bound to be within GM tolerances i'm sure ::) ;D

The same GM tolerances that leave the standard camber setup tramlining all over the place? I wouldn't be surprised if that's the case! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

if i keep both hands on the wheel i'l never notice in the future, being new to autos i sit with my left paw on the shifter

The tolerances are absolutely fine i'll have you know......
.......when the car was brand new with 0 miles on the clock! ;D

Mine does this too ... never did it in my old pre-facelift though :-/
-
And my newly purchased facelift omega does it too - I was a bit concerned myself as my old omega never used to.
Nearly everything on the facelift model seems flimsier and cheaper than on the old shape omega's....

both mine did it, normal. But a dab of silicon grease stops the pull up lever rattling.
