Just changed my thermostat, what a bugger that is, high on the awkward list..
Anyway I unbolted the mounting for the oil level dip tube but I've now dropped/lost the bolt and mounting for it, I'm not sure how it fixes to the engine mount bracket. I know there is a second hole in the bracket but now the linking pipe is back in place the hole isn't accessible.
Does the pipe clamp to the mounting bracket ? Unfortunately at the time I just couldn't see what was there. All done with feel..
At the moment I've cable tied it in place because I assume it only pushes down into the sump and its only that bolt to stop it coming out.
Oh, and the temp now climbs up the gauge, it didn't before, especially in the cold weather we've been having.

you need to get that bolt in mate it holds the coolant transfer pipe in as well if that pops makes a right mess :o :o

The bolt goes through the coolant transfer pipe hole, then the dip stick bracket hole adn tehn the engine lifting eye hole and into the head.
Remove the PAS reservoir from its brackt, plug the vent hole and pop it over near the battery to get more room.

I've got the coolant pipe bolted in place but I've undone another smaller bolt which help the dip pipe in place, which I'm sure was below the coolant pipe..
