I am having trouble with my central locking, (see post Door cards) Omega 2.2 cdx Tdi on a 51 plate. It's got a factory fitted alarm, the alarm seems piss poor. I have the Three button key fob, drivers door and front passenger door wont work from the fob. Also Should it close the sun roof and windows? I ask because it doesn't, and the book says it should. I know less than a dead rat with it's eye hanging out about car electrickery,[smiley=embarassed.gif] so any input will be welcome.

Don't know enough about the alarm to help, but my 52 plate version will close the sunroof and windows if I hold the lock button down for a few seconds.

They all need to be reset too, same prcedure as your Senator for the windows, and the roof is push the switch in at each position closed/tilt/slid open & wait till all movemen thas stopped.
Do your front doors lock via the key? Doors that don't lock on the fob/alarm normally have a duff/failing lock motor.

Cheers Andy, The One touch windows and sun roof are working OK. Drivers door will lock via the key. If I try to lock the car via key fob the drivers door + front passenger door plunger does nothing, and the rear plungers just bounce back up. Also if I partly turn the key to close the windows / sunroof, nothing happens. Do you know if the locking motors are the same as Senny ones?

Mmm? Not even the windows & roof close with the key in the door? Sounds like there's could be a problem with the switches on the mechanism (assuming similar setup to the Senator - I never looked when I changed my window ::)) I'd be looking inside the door for connections to the lock motors and general freedom of all the linkages. My Senator used to pop the locks back up again if you tried to lock it from the boot, lub'ing it all inside the door sorted it for the next 6 years.
Certainly the driver's door lock is different from a Senator's, you can dead lock an Omega's on the fob (if it worked ;)) whereas the Senator's was mechanically deadlocked with the key.
