Title: Re-grinding brake discs.

Provided all minimum thickness tolerances are properly observed, could I have a go at grinding the ridges off my vented discs myself, or is it a precision engineering job?

Exacly that mate!  New genuine VX front disks + pads only around £70 + VAT on TC :y

Not unless you have cylindrical grinding machine or a decent lathe ::)
