I'm all ready to do an oil filter change but the faq mentions spin on and paper element. How do I know which one mine is, and what is the part number so I can nip off to VX after work?

In theory yours should be the paper element but its close to the switchover so best to check.
The spin on is the traditional self contained cannister which will have makers text on the outside (GM or whatever). The paperelement is housed in an alloy cylindrical housing with a large hex 'nut' shape on top. You can see it by looking down the gap to the right of the engine and behind the battery area (access is better from underneath behind the passenger front wheel).

Ok I have the paper one then. I have found a post with part numbers but it doesn't say which filter is which. What is the number I need to give VX for a new filter?
