Just fiited new bulbs and when I pushed the spade connector onto the bulb the whole reflector housing sounded like it brooke loose of its mountings.
Have I probably pushed it out of some clips or might I have broken something?
Either way I will be taking the headlight out to check when I get back, just wondered how bad it might be!

oh dear, it sounds like the adjusters gone fubar unless you are VERY fortunate & just unclipped it from the reflector :-/

It takes a lot of effort to disconnect the ball joint from the adjuster to the reflector (I know because I once had to reconnect one) so it will unfortunately be the plastic of the adjuster mechanism gone brittle & disintergrated
The easiest solution is to but a replacement pattern headlight circa £50 from e-bay. Most S/H units have the same problem so don't take the risk - buy new
They are OK and considerably cheaper than genuine Hella replacements. There was another thread a couple of weeks ago comparing pattern units with Hella

i managed to fix mine by using bits out of an old style headlight, getting the light apart aint too bad as long as your mrs has got a good hairdryer ;)if you need any help give me a shout as im local :y

Just checked and it still moves up and down like it should.
I'll be taking the headlight out tomorrow though to have a closer look. Would have done it today but my oil change went way past daylight and into darkness. I'd had enough at that point!
