Ok there seems to be more than normal water in exhaust...not worrying amount but enough to be wearing the exhaust through, although it may have just been on its way out anyway and the waters leaking through the holes...just not noticed this kinda thing on my previous Omegas but then they all had genuine Cats...
There is a drip coming through the centre exhaust box...and a burbling hole in the back box pipe...
Question is, there is a cheapo cat on the drivers side (gen pass side)which is rather noisy and seems to leak exhaust gases thats going to be replaced shortly...exhaust will be swapped over for a goodun at the same time...is it possible the failing cheapo cat is causing water to be drawn through the exhaust...or just condensation?? I will have to check if its still obvious when up to temp as been taking a lot of very short journeys recently and so mostly been checking when engines pretty cold I guess

i think this may be why the exhaust seems to rot behind the back box. Water forms in the exhaust and sits, due to exhaust flow, behind the cats. It then has trouble getting up the slope to the rear box and sits there, rotting the exhaust from the inside while the rear road wheels splash it from the outside when it rains. A theory at least?
Water is normal in the exhaust afaik. Good combustion and condensation apparently. Certainly mine has a sloppy bubble, almost rattle noise that can be hurd from by the rear wheel, and water can be seen coming from the join by the back box.
It has a genuine exhaust thoughout.
