Title: Estate self levelling
Post by: daveball on 18 March 2009, 17:04:11
I have an Elite 3.0 Estate 1999, think its mini facelift.
I have seen the self levelling sensor on the back suspension and tubes going to the rear shocks and assume it is fitted with self levelling. I can't however find the compressor. Can anyone tell me where it is. I tried the FAQs. I have tried sitting in the boot but can't feel any movement or hear a compressor HELP!!

IIRC its under the front bumper on the n/s. Its easy to check, just switch the ignition so all the dash lights come on but dont start the engine. After about 30 seconds the compressor will run for a few seconds and top up the suspension (even if you have no load on board). If you have a load in the back you should see it rise back to its normal level.

assuming the estate mini f/l is the same as my saloon f/l of course !
