Title: It Lives...

Spent yesterday changing the HG/Cambelt etc etc. Fired her up last night just as it was getting dark and lo and behold, she lives.
Going to flush colling system today and refill with proper anti freeze mix.
Interestingly, the proper HG has holes where the head has slots for water cooling, the old HG had corroded away to nothing and thats in 2 years since it was last changed.

Good job always a worrying moment. Hope every thing is ok. was it just a gasket or did you need a head skim as well. :y

we didn't skim the head in the end.
