Title: 3.0 Litre Elite Engine Removal

Evening All

As above, is it very difficult to do..?..is it best to leave the box on..?..any advice would be most helpful.

Pretty easy but you will need an engine crane to get it out...I always leave the box on...

if your replacing like for like, i would remove with the gearbox attached. Then swap the engine and re-fit....

Getting that gearbox and engine aligned under neath the car can be a bugger of a job.

You do need the car mega high to get it all out in one go though....

Nah car doesnt need to be high...just need to jack up the box to get the 2 bolts on the gearbox over the cross member as you pull it out...

remove scuttle, multiram, radiator, airbox and header tank...

wiring plugs rotate and pull out, ECU lifts out and relays unclip...

Few other bits to undo here and there including the nuts for the 2 engine mounts (passenger side one is awkward to get to)...

Also need to undo either 3 of the 6 19mm bolts holding prop shaft onto gearbox as well as the 2 15mm gearbox mount bracket bolts and remove the cats
