hi i am a new w reg 2.0 owner and i am dead chuff with my motor but i wonder when the general rule for cam belt change is please help  rong1

Every 40k miles maximum or four years which  ever comes soonest. :y

and on a 2.0l, do waterpump at same time, as its cambelt driven

Good advice to do the pump, I did`nt do mine and paid the ultimate price when it broke up 6months later.

Mine went too shortly after the first change.

Belt kit inc rollers from Vx trade £83 & £35 for a waterpump + vat (for a 2.2)

Vx did say 80k initially but dropped the recommendation to 40k after some incidents  :-X
