Title: Crank Sensor
Post by: 3.0V6Elite on 24 March 2009, 10:59:03
Just phoned my local Vauxhall Dealer to get a price for a new crank sensor, they quoted me just short of 88 sheets, which includes the VAT. Is this about the norm or am I being ripped off?  :-/

Normally around the fifty mark on TC so sounds about right. You need to find someone local with a TC :y

They are not genuine Vx sensors and are bordering on the 'chocolate fireguard'.

Yep... Two types, one with a plastic body (cheaper) which is probably the one you want and one with a metal boby, which EPC will (wrongly) say you want!

They did it by the VRN and that was the only one that can up on their little computer screen.

I'll take the part number down with me at lunch time then and see what they say. Going off on a tangent, how do you go about getting one of these trade cards?

Thank's for your help guys. Turns out they did quote me for the wrong sensor and they have to order the other one in, won't be there until Thu morning so looks like I am stuck for a couple of days! >:(
