Title: 1st time changing stat. HELP!

please any help or advice on the best way ro change the stat on a petrol v6 1994 saloon?

please i need as much help as poss

link to maintenance guides below, the bastuard bolt is a torx head not a hex...its a bugger if it gets rounded off...

Step 16 may well be your biggest stumbling block.  The bolt is awkward to remove but even more so to replace...

And the link pipe can and does get stuck making it very difficult to remove and the 'stat cannot be replaced without removing the link pipe first.

i just read the maintenance guide and feel very intimidated at taking bits of the engine off. i thought it would just be a bit on side of engine and a simple swap out!
