Title: How many child seats in back on Omega?
Post by: Simon1975 on 28 March 2009, 06:45:48
Hi, I have a Vectra B at present. I need a car where I can fit a baby seat and 2 booster seats across the back.

Can the Omega do this reasonably well?

The key to it, seems to be width obviously, but also flat ish seats, rather than them having rasied foam at the ends for adults.

Check that out

I have a full size childs seat, a booster seat and a baby carry child seat in the back of mine...only slight issue is access to the middle seatbelt to do it up...but thats because of the child seat getting in the way...2 booster seats would be a walk in the park! :y

Price is rather high though for that Omega...even with only 8k on the clock...I'm sure you could knock him down to £3.5 (if he refuses then leave him your number and walk away) and you could get one from a forum member for probably half that...its a buyers market dont you know :y

Hi, thanks for the reply.

I know its pricey, but assuming it' an accurate description, you will not find one better.

And thinking reasonably long term, 2 years ownership, then it would still be excellent value for money.

I was thinking £4000 myself

As said before, the price is what someone is willing to pay, she does look like a stunner, i've had a 2.6 2001 for nearly 6 years and its done me proud, still looks good!! so if you like it and it fulfills your needs go for it! but just be aware that these cars lose money faster than the Northern Rock! ;)

We've got a baby seat in the middle and use a booster either side if needed, this allows us to leave the base installed while we can use either side normally or with boosters.

Not all Elites have leather, the car is genuine, I have no doubt about that, it has 5 service stamps and from a very large company.

I have spoken to them and they are very friendly and polite, which I always think is good when speaking to car dealers. lol

I offered £4k, they want £4240!!!!

So at mo, its a no go!

They might call back if they have a bad day.

didn't really see much difference between my omega and my vectra when it comes to fitting two booster seats and a child seat...

oldest has more room in the middle but still find it easier for him to seat there without a booster......

What a low mileage - was it in storage?

3 seats no problem
