it shall need re setting ,   put the ignition on the first or second click and try to lock it using the fob , it should lock then unlock straight away

If the lights on the fob work but the doors dont lock/unlock,it needs to be reprogrammed as follows.
Put key in ignition and turn to ON position.
press and hold one of the fob buttons for a few seconds until the doors lock and unlock.
job done. :y

must type faster. :D

I've just bought some off a certain well-known auction site for 99p plus P+P - for five!  (Of course, they might be cr*p...  ;) )

When you put the batteries in the holder they both go in face down, ie the plain side with the maker's name and battery number goes upwards.

I know exactly what you have done

You have squashed the plastic lug by the + terminal and insulated it.

Take a picture and show us what it is like

i cant put any pics up sos but i can see the connections in the seperate fob. there is a connector on the side wll inside the fob and a small copper contact sticking out to just about were battery centre would be, i take this to be plus and side wall connection to be negative. but still niether fob is working or flaghing etc

getting impatient i took the fobs apart and got 1 fob working, bit of fluff. the 2nd however had a missing screw which makes me think it was taken apart before, and as i opened it the plus terminal snapped, if it wasnt already snapped and fell out!

thanc for everyone help
