Title: door catch not catching? and doors not locking!

i just popped out to my mig to get batterys out of centre console and it is breakn freezing, i got little balls of ice on my roof? but any way the drivers door wont shut! the catch is not catching? is this something to do with the cold?

help please my car is now sitting outside with all the doors open cos i cant lock it either.

out of anger i just gave it a damn good slamming and it has now caught and i have now locked the doors.

but is this a mig prob or is it just my luck?

mine is a late 94' :-/

The grease can freeze if you use the wrong sort.  That can hold the catches open.

yeah its the cold. make sure the latches are lubed with white lithium grease, thats what vaux put on them during service. oh and give them a quick clean of any old grease first thou...
