Title: boot gas struts

can these be tightened from the outside nut with the ball joint ie inside nut fixed? or has boot cowling got to come off if so how much do i need to remove on the estate had a look yesterday but ran out of time cheers

the nut should be a fixed one so just the matter of tightening up ball mount :y
