Title: Whats the difference between ?

An Elite and a MV6 , sorry for the question but I am unsure what differnces there are between the two, Thanks in advance

prefacelift mv6 similar spec wise to prefacelift cdx (minus cruise), but with 3.0l engine, and lowered/stiffned suspension.

facelift mv6 similar to facelift cd, but with 2.6/3.0/3.2 engine, lowered and stiffened.

plod mv6 is base spec

And my Facelift CD has lowered stiffened suspension and cruise control

nope, cdr2005 is std mv6 radio - ccr2006 was an option

I have the 2001 sales brochure here which is the one for our car and according to that the CDX and MV6 both have CCR2006 as standard.

MV6 also has MV6 alloys and tail spoiler unless ex plod when neither of these items are likely to be on it...

how much lowered and stiffened is mv6 suspension over other models,as mv6 don't feel lowered and stifff at all.....

I'm guessing thats because your other car is a FWD one ;)

RWD cars do not need that same bone-jarring rock hard ride to get any form of traction like FWD.  Things like Vectra GSi have to stiffen further, even then the chassis can't put down the power.

MV6 is lowered by approx 3cm

is the lowered/stiffness meant to be noticeable over other models though,as yeh it not as good as my gsi,but find the suspension the worse bit about the car,and really no different to others i drove when i was looking

I think my Elite must be the exception then, unless a previous owner has lowered it. Mine always looks far lower than other Elites.  :-/

Timbuks is very low though, infact it was last seen on somebodies front garden upto the sills in mud

aint noticed it yet......must be something wrong with mine then.....
