Title: MV6 Help
Post by: bear1 on 31 March 2009, 11:03:02
Hey guys

I've an MV6 W reg that I've had for a 18 Months - facelift model, not the new shape. Its been off the road for 6 months as I've not needed it. Turns out that the cam sensors need to be replaced and a few other bits n bobs. My question is, is it worth sorting out.

The engine itself is A1, the car is perfect, clean and normally runs perfectly. Funds are limited and not sure what my options should be.

Not sure what this is worth mending or selling for bits?

Cheers

Bear

Well, it was a local garage and didn't give me fault codes. I'm going to take it to the local VX guys I know and they're going to do a proper check.  :(

Read the fault codes yourself....there is info on this site telling you how to do this and its very easy.

Then report back on your findings

I would suspect a 19!

Where are you - we have a few diag tools around country, and know how to use them (which sets us apart from many garages and dealers!).

Thanks everyone

i'm, going to give it a go later - batteries flat now  :(

Just so you know the problem last year was that it would run fine for a while and as soon as the engine seemed to get warm it just cut out and wouldn't start again until cooler!!
