Can anyone help me? I have just being doing a general inspection and checking fluid levels etc to find i have creamy gunge all down the inside of the oil filler pipe and water dripping of the cap what is the possible cause for this??
-
The mayo is probably caused by condensation at the top of the pipe, and nothing to worry about. If you do short journeys then a build up occurs a long run should clear it
-
Condensation caused by short runs. Normal on V6s.
Clean out & check/clean breathers.

ohhhh thanks that's a sy of relief i do alot of short journeys new job on my door step nearly thank everyone :)

Short journeys = oil change every 3-4K :y

Would suggest giving your car a Long Run, now and then, to enable ALL, to reach working temperature. (prevention better than cure).
This is what I have to do as we only travel short distances now. Due to our age, not the car.

:)i will be doing so from now on thanks everyone for your input and help. I'm going to sort out the breathers on the weekend change rocker head seals as i am sure they need doing and an all round good/deep service.
I'm so glad it wasn't anything terminal "fingers crossed touch wood"and all that jazz LOL :)
