I had the crank sensor changed a while back (cant recall when must be about 8 months) after the EML came on (also diagnosed by TB with his tech 2). Roll on about 4 months, EML comes on again but car still running fine. Flash it out. Bugger its 19 again. Back to garage they replace for free with a new one. roll on another 4 months to now, just doing a quick check over, and bugger me code 19 again ! No EML this time, and car is still running fine. Same as before when I had the EML on and code 19, it still ran fine.
SO is it *really* the sensor again ? Or is there some other gremlin at work here ?
Sensor was a genuine vax one which was sent back to vaux and replaced with a new one last time it went faulty.

as far as i know you wont start the engine if the crank sensor is shot you can get it started with a push though, i know it hasn't answered your question in full but i hope it helps some what!!! :-/

Depends how the garage ran the cable. If they made a pigs ear of it, then very likely!
