Yes! People put all sorts of sh1te in the washer bottle & it gunges up, hence blocked washer nozzles. ;)
The pump lives in the bottle right at the front of the car behind the grille. If you can't hear the pump running, then it's either goosed or not receiving power. Try putting 12v straight across the pump and see what happens.

Hi I had the same problem before the MoT. it turn out to be the pump itself. I bought one from Vaux-World  07736 285343      e-mail   admin@vaux-world.com for about £9. My local Vauxhall dealer wanted £39 for the same thing

I bought an after market pump too to replace the original. My screen wash now hits the middle of the screen rather than the scuttle. :y  :y  :y

Another thing to check. If you can hear the pump and the wash still doesn't hit the screen, it could be the suction filter thatthe pump sits in. The pump is a push fit into the bottle, and there is a little strainer built into the pump/bottle seal. that gets gunged up too.

THE most common cause is a gummed up filter.

ok, i pulled of the pump and cleaned the filter
refitted and still no joy
i then wired it to the batt, nothing
i took of the headlight washer pump and wired to batt and it buzzed
take it that means the pump is goosed???
