Okie dokie .... I managed to get hold of the software and interface for the LPG kit. When I tried to fire it up before it just switched back to petrol right away.
So, after spending a little while trying to get the screen to display in English, I plug in and start the car. Go to Diagnostics where I can switch over to gas and the engine still runs smoothly on LPG and stays on LPG.
Go to Autocalibrate and it runs through setting up at idling speed, then asks for 2800 - 3200 revs, at which point it hangs (about 1/3 way through the autocalibrate sequence). Alll the readings are slightly fluctuating, indicating to my simple mind that the programme hasn't frozen ---- I am afraid after 5 - 10 mins I exited autocalibrate as my patience had worn out.
However the car sat there quite happily running on gas --- until I disconnected from the lappy, at which point it switched over to petrol right away!!!! >:(
Now, with the car running on petrol, if I try to switch to gas the gas light flashes and a red indicator above it comes on and an alarm sounds ( bong) --- as I would expect if gas was about to run out maybe ? :-? But, gas tank is full and gas does get through when connected to the mapping software !!!!
Any ideas ? And what should I be looking for when in diagnostic mode? It tells me the injectors are the correct size, Lambda measures 3.1V and the times for the gas and petrol injectors read at roughly the same as each other ( I assume this is good).
Help !!!!!!

HC, Have you tried giving the throttle a little blip as it may be set to only switch over at a certain RPM.
Better still... Take some screen shots of the settings and post them on here... I know it'll all be different to the AC software we're used to seeing but we might just be able to suss it out for you :y :y :y

Something else to try. Is there a gas pressure threshold for switchover to petrol? Just wondering iff the gas pressure is too low and causing it to switch back.

That could well be it ----- seem to remember the pressure being 0.8 bar and have a feeling that it should be higher for 6 cylinders ---- we may be on to something there :)
Would help if I could get hold of a manual or something but have Googled for hours with no luck !!

Just a thought, though, if the pressure is too low, how come it runs OK when autocalibration is in progress ( even when the process seems to hang)? :-/

I wonder if having the laptop connected allows you to force it to gas whereas without some condition is preventing this? I don't know the system so it's not easy to say.
I would have a careful look at the settings for the conditions for switching to and from gas against the live data and see if anything looks amiss.

Thanks for the assist Kev and Lazy :y
After about 6 months "Googling" I have finally tracked down a copy of the install manual and Technical Manual !

Haven't come across that one (as I wasn't looking for it!), but have an ask here:

You'll struggle TBH!
Good luck... The forum link above is well worth a look :y :y

As Lazydocker says --it will take some finding being a factory fit too.
-
The Koltec/Necam kit used as factory fit was never up to the job TBH... And it's also a different type of system. There are a couple of guys on www.lpgforum.co.uk who know this system quite well but AFAIK there is now only one LPG Specialist who understands the system... Millbrook IIRCC

Have you tried contacting either Zavoli or the UK importer?

Yes --- Zavoli just refer me to Jaymic ( the importer), who in turn weren't particularly helpful. However, having tracked down a copy of the manuals I might be in with a chance :)
Jaymic might be more helpful if and when I have a specific query to address ( rather than just HELP !!! ) ---- I have heard elsewhere that they ARE helpful ( just not in my experience!)

That is a surprise... I've only heard good reports about Jaymic!
Have you got a manual now then?
If not, have you tried asking on the LPG forum? It sometimes takes a few days but the guys there generally give sound advice :y :y
