I know i have read a thread relating to the best tyre to fit to the mig but nit having any joy in finding it again.
I have just found a nice rip on my front near side tyre so am looking to get it replaced. I will probably replace both front tyres as they are rather noisy (firestone).
Thanks in advance :y

bit of a debate possible here i reckon. Have been shouting about falkens on here for a while but have found them a bit wayward personally, they seem to tramline a bit. However this issue may be partly caused by dodgy rear bushes. Some on here have had trouble fitting them.
I hope it is rear bushes as the fallens tick all the boxs, quiet, grip, price is fair, supple ride. Just the tramline issue for me.
On a more general note, does anyone know what tyres the car left the factory with. What was factory fit?

Depends the year and model but generally Michelin Pilots

Not sure about the factory fit tyres, but I have just bought 2 new fronts for mine and they are made by Dunlop. They're called 'Pneumant Sport' and Ihave to say that they are working out very very well. the handling has improved no end and the ride and noise are great. I got them from a site called mytyres.co.uk and they were very reasonably priced - they came from Germany I believe. Much cheaper than going to ATS or National etc.

Yes Michelin Primacy were factory fit as far as I know and have fitted them since. Just about to fit again after 25000 miles since last change - fronts almost gone but a bit left on rears. Price around £130 each
Falkens seem popular for Signums and just fitted the ZE912s all round to our Signum. Droning noise on old Signum tyres has now gone. A bit twichy for first few miles but seem ok. Price around £80-90 each

Yes , I have Michelins on mine , just done all four , had too do two at a time though £££££££ :-/ . But as I said to my wife , no point in having a £25,000 car ( when new of course ) and running it on wokka mocca tokka , Tyres @ £35 per corner , If I need to stop in a hurry I want to know I have all the equipment on the car to do it properly :y
Take care

I have just fitted Avon ZV5s to the front of my 2.5 Estate. £82 each from National Tyres, but nice and quiet, good wet grip and low noise. When I find another £164 I shall put them on the back as well.
Anybody have any experience with these Avons?
