Title: Steering Resistor/Relay?

I'm trying to find a post from a couple of months back - Sophos (i think) had problems with vague/wobbling steering wheel and was unfortunately charged about 100 pounds for a part that someone ( MarksDTM?) showed to cost around ten pounds. I think it was something like a steering resistor relay? I have spent an hour trying to find this with no joy. My steering wheel wobbles at 50+ and i though this could be a cheap fix for it before doing other things.

I appreciate this is probably the vaguest request ever but maybe it will jog someone's memory? Any pointers would be welcomed :y

try looking for servotronic. That the box of electrickery that tied into the speed sensitive steering.
I think your problem though, is wheel/s out of balance.

AAeye, 5 stud balancer for you i reckon.  :y

is it only speed related, or on the brakes as well?

Does a 2.2 have servotronic? Had a feeling it was just on V6s.

Vibration sounds more like a wheel out of balance, TBH.

It is only speed related - brakes work fine
