Title: burping

hi all
what are the procedures on burping the coolant system. i think i have an air lock as i only have luke warm air from the blowers

The old way was to set the heater at its highest temp from cold and start the car,with the rad cap off.
Then let it warm up varying the rev's
at the first sign of movement of the coolant put back the rad cap and continue varying the rev's up until normal on the temp gauge.
Then release the rad cap very slowly until the pressure has gone and check the level.

This method worked on most cars 30/40 years ago .......but I am that old :o

Following that advice, as engine is running with expansion cap off, squeeze the top hose intermittently :y

May be that old but still works today - with squeezing top hose ;)

the top hose being the large one off the top right hand of the radiator or the on at the top going into the bulkhead? :)
