Title: oil breather

can anyone give me advice on how to clean and what to use to clean the breather out any diagrams and advice please thanks alot  :y

Take a look in the maintenance guide section - there are guides for both V6 and 4 pot in there.

You need carb cleaner and a selection of paperclip/screwdriver/wire for poking..

Yeah, quite easy to do. Just be careful in removing the 'ecotec' box on top of the plenum, as yanking it out tends to tear the seal underneath and you'll need to replace it before you start the car.

All in all it can be done in an hour or two - depends how much gunk you have to clean out of the pipes and breather box. :y

Its a bit tricky to get the big pipe off under the scuttle, but otherwise straightforward.  Just take your time and follow the guide - and don't forget to shove kitchen roll in the inlet ports just in case. :y

Use carb cleaner - welding rods/wire for poking out small holes :y
