Diesel is running down the front of the fuel tank and dripping onto the road when the tank is fully filled (but not when part filled). It's a big leak too, I guess about 0.5 to 1 litre per hour.
Possible split where filler neck joins tank perhaps? :(
Is there an access panel in the boot somewhere?
Any ideas really appreciated as this car is going on holiday to Holland at end of May.

Lift boot carpet and a plate with screws will be seen, undo and remove you will see the top of the tank where the pump is, there are two pipes vonnected to the pump and they do have a tendency to split where they are bent over the tank!!!

That is a big leak. I would normally suspect rust, but these tanks are plastic, You may see better from underneath the car, there is an inspection hatch, in the middle of the boot floor, but it may not be any good to you. Are you sure it is not a pipe? Failing that, I suspect damage, but strange it is only when full. Never come across a leaky plastic tank, but if the tank is ruptured, there are loads about.

No idea where the leak is. I'm just guessing, will lift the inspection cover tomorrow as light is fading now.
As I say, leaking when full suggests a split filler pipe at join height, but that's just a guess. Let's hope it's a split pipe on the pump.

More likely to be split hose(s) or metal elbow broken away from the tank inspection plate.
Remove the floor plate in the boot and all should be revealed!

Common-ish problem is the fuel pipes as they leave tank, or the tank seal. Both visible from inspection plate as Omegatoy says :y

Had a quick look under the inspection plate this morning. It's mucky but not obviously leaking.
Can I get a look at the filler pipe / neck / join from inside the boot by removing any internal bodywork?

Not really, but its not that hard to drop the tank to be honest, then you can inspect it thoroughly, including the masses of pipework on top.
Basically, pull off the rubber surround in filler flap, undo the straps, and lower on a jack (easier if tank empty-ish!). May need to undo the quick release fuel pipe hoses (feed and return to front of car) if they are too tight.

Took a closer look under the inspection plate today and found that the big plastic ring was loose. Applying Occam's razor would suggest that this was the reason for the leak, especially with a brim full tank.

There is a rubber seal inside which should stop it leaking even if the ring is a bit loose. Keep an eye on it, if it happens again, you may have to look at that seal.

seem to remember yours was fairly loose when we looked at it and thee was definet staining around the top, wonder if its a common faut on them??

seem to remember yours was fairly loose when we looked at it and thee was definet staining around the top, wonder if its a common faut on them??
changed the seal on mine in the end...
