the little lady(hahaha) just posed a question about her r reg astre asking if it has 8 or 16 valves?(dont know and not really bothered) but it did lead me to wonder how valves are in my engine?
ie. do i have 12 or 24? :-/
any clarification would be great :-/
i have a 94 2.5 auto if that help :-[ :y :y :y

6 clinder V6 with 2 inlet & 2 exhaust per cylinder = 24 valves .. :)

just found out me little ladys car only has 8, haha i have 3 times as many!!!
is that good or bad?

More valves=more air goning in and out=more power. :y

Plus it's a 2.5 litre 24v quad cam v6.=alot better then an 8v astra ::)

I thought all Astras had 16 valves - 8 in the engine & 8 in the radio. :y
