Title: headlight beam adjustment...
Post by: markm730 on 26 April 2009, 23:17:33
up until jan of this yr i lived out in spain with my family, i also had my omega out there with me. i bought a set of new headlights for it as i was going to matriculate the car (transfer onto spanish plates). never got round to completing that process as we came back. my original lights have seen better days so today have temporarilly replaced them with the lights purchased in spain.
these new 1's are made for continental driving and therefore have the beam going the other way.
is there any way of altering the beam so that i can leave them on (coz they do look nice and clear!!) and they remain legal for use in uk?
what do the 2 adjusters on the top of the light unit do?  :-/

They adjust the beams up & down and left & right. As far as I know, if they are projector or HID that have a lever inside to cut off the upsweep to the kerb (  \___  \___ = UK  ___/  ___/ = Spain) then you'd be OK to use your 'left hand drive' head lights over here with the upsweep cut off to give a flat beam.
