Timing belt done! But only 4 bolts back on crank pully.
Done Timing Belt today. Well actually, I prepared yesterday, (took everything off) Thanks everyone, crank pully came off with the help of a bit of wood. Son was meant to help me, turned up today about 10.30am, spent an hour and half with me to put belt on, then basically said, 'there helped you, off to watch motor racing now' He cleared off, now telling his mates he can change timing belt. However, left me to put it all back together.
What a bugger to put everything back :'(
Question tho. can only get 4 bolts on the crank pulley to line up. Is it meant to go on a special way?
Thanks for any help

Should fit always but remove again and you'll see there is a rust mark like they all have on rear of pully and feel around or just look at bottom crank there is a indent this is how i put back on, also don't do any bolts up till all six in, yes you will need to move the pully right and left to fit some. hope this helps

The 6 bolts aren't evenly spread, so sounds like crank pulley is not on right. Whip it off again (will come off easy now), and you'll see what I mean about some of the holes being closer than others.

Try again mate - you need to get all the bolts in :y

All bolts back in. Silly me :-[

If the crank is at TDC (which it normaly is following this job) then there is a notch on the crank pulley which aligns with a timing mark on the cover at around the 2 Oclock position.
