Title: Sluggish acceleration
Post by: mark.adams on 26 April 2009, 15:04:29
Hi All,
I am just in the process of running some injector cleaner through my tank to see if my injectors are bunged up, whilst giving the car a blast down the bypass i noticed it was a bit sluggish accelerating even in sports mode, seems as though it takes a moment to wind up to speed. is that symptomatic of the transmission fluid wanting topping up or something else??

might be worth doing the standard 4 pot ICV, throttle body, breather clean - that generally makes a world of a difference to how the thing runs.

Thanks,
Did that recently when we changed the HG, all breathers, butterfly valve and idle pinhole valve, new exhaust manifold gasket too.
I was just curious if that was the symptoms i would see if the transmission fluid needed topping up, its never been topped up as far as i know.

Well wouldn't do any harm of course (and if its low, obviously it would do a lot of good anyway), but I'm doubtful that's the cause of the problem.

2.2 does not have an ICV.

Check the box fluid level, should be up to the fill hole with engine running on flat surface
