Title: Security Code
Post by: MutantCav on 28 April 2009, 08:26:56
Is there a way to get this without going to Vauxhall and getting the car pass?? Not that its a great issue as the local Vaux dealer is just up the road...but curious...

Can you get it like you can with a stereo from Dave-DND etc??

Dave can do them over the tinternet but it depends on which stereo it is, I think the CCRT700 has to be sent off.

Depends on the radio, as we can get the code from certain radios, and this (if factory fit) is likely to match immob pin.

But cheaper to get carpass.

The 4 digit code can be pulled from the immobiliser, but you'd get charged 2-3 times what it would cost from the vauxhall dealer.
Unfortunately there are no magic internet sites where you can get them for free.
vauxhall prices vary between £18-£27 depending on area, but take £25 as a norm, and then add the VAT.
I get my codes from an independant supplier and they cost me £20+VAT.
