Hello all,
Noticed the car tonight was taking longer to change into top-it seemed a little as if it was in towing mode where it takes longer to change into top ( I was giving it a little welly)
It's due for a filter and fluid change next week.
Anything to worry about?
Cheers

it will rev out more when you welly it...
Atf(dextron 3) and filter clean/change always a good idea.

Thanks-it was just that it seemed to take ages to change into top-as I said it was like it is when towing a caravan.
Thanks
Steve

Also, the Auto box takes a little longer to change up when cold, something to do with warming the CAT up, what I do to stop this is press the ICE button (Next to the gear selector) for a short while, keeps the revs nice and low when cold.

I thought the 'snow mode' only operated when the outside temperature approached freezing point?

Ummm don't know about that, but mine seems to operate when ever, just select Drive and press button!

No not that clever. Operates when pressed only. More use as suggested than in snow and ice.

Any disadvantages of using this approach? It works on mine as well and the vechicle handles much better but worried about any issues

I have read somewhere that using the ice button puts more strain on the box since you are starting off in third.
Another way to prevent the delayed change up is to let the car idle for 30 s to a minute on initial start up and this should prevent the 'box from going into the 'pre heat' shift pattern.
