Title: Have I got one ?

Hi,
I have a ex plod 98 3ltr MV6 and I want to know if it has a LSD.
Is there any way to tell from the outside ?

Yes. Boot it from a standing start & if the arse wags like a fish, you've an LSD. If it's like my old Trans-Am, it may have a plate on the diff saying it's LSD. It's GM stable :y

If its ex plod it would be a manual

Not so - they did have some ex-plod with Auto boxes, but the majority were manual.

Best way to check is to jack up both rear wheels (on axle stands, with handbrake off, autobox in neutral, and front wheels chocked).

Spin one wheel by hand - if the opposite wheel spins in the same direction, you've got LSD  :y

If it spins in the opposite direction, you aint  :(

But with yours being an Auto, I don't think it will have LSD to be honest - but there is a chance, so worth checking anyway
