Title: Vac Reservoirs.
Post by: duggs on 03 May 2009, 15:49:46
I've used the fantastic Vac pipe diagram today to check a few things out BUT it didn't make one thing clear.

Does it matter which way in/out the vac pipes go into the Front and Rear Vac Reservoirs. ie: taking either, would it make an ounce of difference if I swap the two vac pipes around as they enter the reservoirs.

Tis just that my heating isn't very good, almost non- existant. The pipes under the steering column BOTH get Hot when the heater is on, just doesn't get very warm through the vents in the cabin.

Have you flushed out the heater matrix.

Worked for me. Take both pipes off that go into the bulkhead on the drivers side. Stick a hose pipe in one for a few minutes then the other for a few minutes. Repeat this until the water runs clear then replace both pipes.  :y

Done it...got the T Shirt...several T Shirts to be honest. Both pipes running through the bulkhead are hot...just sod all coming through the vents.
