Hi
Ive purchased a new key and had it cut and going to try and program it with "My Naff Code Reader" tomorrow ... i have the guide on how to do it so hopefully the transponder is new which i belive is .... but how do i program the remote part to the central locking ... is it just put it in ignition and press the buttons ... i have searched but cant find anything ..... i need a spare key :y

yeah i think!!! the c/l part of it is done with opening and closing when the key is in the ignition i think!! i am quite sure im right!

Cheers ... i thought that was the case but wasnt sure with this fob being new to the car :y

With the "My Naff Code Reader" you go into body/anti theft warning I believe...programme section in there reset the key fobs and then to programme to new key fobs click programme then you just press the key fob remote and it programmes it in to the ECU...
Key in ignition and pressing button resets the ECU from an existing programmed key signal, not sure if it programmes the key fob itself if blank??

Thanks i'll have a play tomorrow .... i would also like to remove the old key that the previous owner lost but i might have to be carefull because i belive i have to remove all key transponders then start from new .... i know my luck ill muck it up and be stuck with no working key :-/

Correct...you have to remove all...but it programming is easy so dont worry about it :y

You're wrong though! ;D ;D ;D
That's the routine for re-syncronising a key (after battery replacement etc) that has already been programmed to the alarm ECU! :y :y :y

Bit of a security issue if it did work.

yeah i thought it worked because i had a Dead key from my car that i replaced the battery on it didnt work till i done the sync thing with it!
but i read a post earlier on today and seen about they are coded also

All the key programming is in the "My Naff Code Reader" manual, which you should have got with your units. If not, contact the importer for the manual, as it has useful step-by-step guides :y

Followed the manual ..... easy to do :y

I didnt even bother with the manual (which I seem to have mislaid ::)) it was so easy looking...true enough...piece of cake...deleted transponders coded key one (the new chip) coded key two (the old one) job done!!!
