Title: OMEGA 2.5 V6 ELITE 1999

IVE BEEN TO THIS CAR BEFORE TO READ FAULT CODES WITH SNAP ON CODE READER WHEN CUSTOMER HAD PROBLEM WITH CAR NOT STARTING WOULD CRANK BUT NOT FIRE CLERED FAULTS LET CUSTOMER TRY AGAIN TO SEE WHAT FAULT WOULD COME BACK IN.CAR FAILED AGAIN WOULD NOT START THIS TIME I COULD NOT TALK TO ECU.JUST WANTED TO KNOW IF ENGINE MANAGEMENT LIGHT SHOULD BE ON BEFORE CAR STARTED THEN GO OUT WHEN STARTED.ALSO IF THERE IS COMMON FAULT WITH ECU.S

Please read the forum guidelines re posting. All caps is considered shouting and is notoriously hard to read. As for the EML, not neccessarily. What codes did you get?

ecus are very reliable.  EML should come on and stay on until engine starts.

That sounds like a faulty crank sensor and will throw up a code 19

if you have already changed the crank sensor? have you fitted a genuine vauxhall one??? The ECU doesnt seem to like aftermarket sensors vey much!
speaking from first hand experiance!
