yeah you read that right - or if i dont i need to get my wife to start drinking so she cant remember my ideas!!!!
We ( my wife and i ) have a rule - we dont spend our salaries on projects. The funds need to be " created"
so my car buying and selling and breaking and her horse thing needs to create the funds to buy cars and horses.
Anyway my projects are doing better than hers .....i have between a botle of red wine and 3 stellas so far...
agreed to buy a twin axel trailer to buy non runners and dispose of shells of cars
agreed to buy ANOTHER BLEEDING HORSE
agreed to buy a bleeding horse box.....
At least i have managed to get her to agree to fit a towbar to her car and not the omega !!
Anyone else regret drinking tonight?

Carling here :)
Sounds like the horse business is going well, what exactly do you do with them? - Sell to them to the French to make burgers ;D
Sooner or later you might need something like this:

nice week off to polish that prject omega Kev ;)
tunnie - horses - wifes a bit of a erm ......rider...shes erm experienced....erm id better stop there....
seriously buy them young with "pedigree" break them ( which means get them accustomed to having someone on top of them as the natural reaction is to kick and throw the person off, then sell them to rich people before using the profits to buy more....
In car worlds its like buying a £500 car, running it for 2 years and selling it for £3000. Thats the only problem, breaking a horse takes a couple of years!!
-
As soon as you said breaking i imainged selling it in parts!! ;D ;D
Sounds interesting, years ago my mum had a horse. He was a bit mental, we sold him years ago he's probabbly been made into french burgers.
Good business plan though, since you always have the value of the horse, i used to ride them years ago myself.
Although i got into PC's at the time, wish i kept it up really.

What's the horsey equivalent to a crankshaft sensor, and is it as difficult to replace as the car version?
-
Dude, I feel for ya. You got taken to the cleaners. Haul your projects away, and haul in more of hers? At least you got to keep the car trailer! Time to start scoping out new projects. Here's one you could try, build a locost kit car with Omega bits!
-
After yesterdays hangover, I don't think I'll ever drink again......

cheers the olodian :)
my projects will keep going - the trailer allowing me to colect non runners as i HATE towing!
Its just that my project fund is about £1500 lower with horsey stuff. Lets face it i can buy a banger at £100 and instantly strip for cash, her projects require more time, and capital!
Like the locost idea, is one you have experience in?
-
Not so far, but I have been looking into it. Here's a good intro;
http://www.mcsorley.net/locost/
MX-5's are quickly becomming perfect donor cars for these types of things.

It's not the drinking that's the problem, it's the marriage :o

The car's fine. I'm what's broken! I don't think that I've ever been this sore after working on a car. I stayed up all night putting a V8 in by myself once (started at 1am), but I was younger then :-[ Lots of rest, and walking around regularly and I'll be fine. Oh, and lots of ibuprofen! Man I need to get in shape :P
-
I've just spent the weekend in Stockton/Middlesbrough & boy do I feel rough! [smiley=beer.gif]
Pretty cheap though, two pints of lager & a JD; £4.80 :)

Wow....thats cheap :o In most of the pubs in my town, a pint of Carlsberg is £2.60, Carlsberg Export £2.85 and Stella £2.90. :( I think I'm gonna move North!! ;) ;D

I like your sig Bob!
After all this I think that I have a new plan for when I can finally afford a house. :-/ I'm gonna get/make a lift for the garage that will raise the car half a meter or so. That is enough to get under the car with a creeper, do brakes while sitting on a little stool, and it will bring it up to where I don't have to bend over so far to work under the hood! 8-) And you don't have to have 12'+ ceilings.

Sounds like a good idea, but it wouldn't work for me. I would have to have a removable garage roof as every year the car would have to be lifted that little bit higher because of the ever growing middle age spread :-[

I bought a mountain bike with an alloy frame, front and rear suspension and disc brakes the dogs twitcher and only used it once because I was walking like John Wayne for a week so I think I might get a gel seat and start using that ;)
