Got a strange, slightly sweet smell in the car.
seems to be worse the higher the fans are set.
Any ideas?
Only been there since the weekend ::)

Hummm sweet? Suggests Anti-freeze, air-intake is the pollen filter, so any anti-freeze around there?

Just a guess could it be the HBV , as i think i had the same when mine went would only happen when heating was on.
Sorry if its somethink that you have checked

Oddly, I have strange smells in mine... ...wonder if we could compare smells?
Actually, I've had to remove most of them in mine - either I have developed hay fever for the first time in my life (and that would be gay), or I have an allergy to those bloody air fresheners. Every time I get in, I get a sore throat and start sneezing!

I Suspect you have 3-4 differing competing smells, this would appear to be just the one ;D
You wouldnt have happened to accidently drop one of yours down the back of my pollen filter would you :-?

Ah well, glad you found it.
The aircon systems on the Omegas can get a bit musty so an air freshener is no bad thing. ;)
