Does any one know why the stalk i got for the cruise would only have 2 wires .What model would it be off?Surely they all work the same?

They work in completely different ways, your's talks directly to the engine's ECU, cars with a throttle cable talk to another box of tricks, which applies another cable to the throttle .... no idea about the dieseasal cars but assume they also talksdirectly to the engine's ECU

The reason for the differences, whether drive by wire or not, is due to the fact the 'Vauxhall engined' ones use a wire for each of the switches, plus a common (thus 4 wires).
The TD one uses a resistor network to signal to the ecu which button is pressed, thus only 2 wires needed.

Yep TD cruise stalk, well on the facelift anyway has 2 wires. They are just plug in and away you go, the most simple upgrade I've done to my TD.
Won't fit the petrol Omega though.

2 wire is for all 2.5TD Omegas, facelift or not ;)
