Title: Engine lumpy after install of stereo gear
Post by: SolidStateSurvivor on 08 May 2009, 13:34:35
I've just installed some headrest DVD players in my Omega 2.5i 2000MY. Now the engine appears really sluggish and nearly conks out when stopping at traffic lights etc. It "feels" like it's being starved of petrol. I attached the headrests to the 12v supply to the front seat motors and the ground to the car body and removed the fuse to this component whilst I did this. Could I have inadvertently have tripped something? I've checked all fuses and they're all intact. Relays? What electrically could have caused this in the engine - I did not even have the bonnet open whilst doing this so can't have knocked anything.

As said do a paper clip test. Sounds like a code 19 to me which is crank sensor failure.
