Title: Will it work????

Im in the process of fitting cruise to my maual omega.Got a stalk the other day with the buttons on the end of the stalk plus the extra wiring loom.Now the connection on the stalk i got has a 4 pin plug with only 2 wires on it.The connection on the car has 4 wires on it.Whats going on????

sounds like the stalk is for a td bud  :(

All i know is it came off an auto.

for 2.6 manual you will need 4 wire stalk, get this from a dealer, its £35+ vat.

Second hand stalks are false economy.

You will also most likely need a clutch switch, which is about £18.

Finally you will need access to a tech2 for the cruise to be enabled, see TheBoys rates for this.

Nearest members with Tech2 is Coventry/Nottingham way

Or here in Brackley (NN13)

im having trouble getting a clutch switch.Got to wait 10 days.There are two wires going to switch.What i need to know is can i join wires together to bypass the switch to check cruise is working.Stalk is already fitted by the way.

Have you had it on a Tech II yet? If not, the car won't know you've fitted the stalk untill Tech II has told it.  ;)

You were told wrong then. Tunnie listed all that you needed yesterday. I think there might be a ''Tech II wanna-be'' near you, it might be able to enable it.

Cost varies, but work on around a half hours time, according to VX.  Couple of mins button pressing, in reality....

Also do small garages use tech 2 ?
