Title: Oil cooler pipes
Post by: ScottieMV6 on 13 May 2009, 13:38:34
I think I might have cross threaded one of the union bolts that fasten the oil cooler pipes to the block (where the oil filter is)! :-[ :'(

Do I keep tightening and hope for the best or do I undo the one that is cross threaded and replace with a new one? Can I even do this or will the block be f***ed???

Please help as I am thinking that I have completely buggered my engine!!  :'( :'( :'( :'(

How easy are they to fit? Will a secondhand one be ok or should I get new from Vx??  :-/
