Title: Help
Post by: DaviesEB on 18 May 2009, 16:53:03
Hope the weekend was great for all. I did a paperclip test and had 19. I had a cranksensor problem some time back.

Now i am having a misfire the miggy does not pull as before. Are my plugs bad or the cables faulty.

Yes i did with genuine part from Pentagon Vauxhall. I am wondering if it is the old code that is showing.

But i am starting the vehicle alright. My mech says i shold chnage crankseal. As there is an oil leak. He also suggets changing the timing belt. But i do not take his advice until i have contacted the Brains on the Forum.

Cambelt kit is every 40k without fail.
If you have an oil leak its best to get it fixed imho ;)
If you have oil leaking onto the sensor or its wiring then this could have caused it to fail early.

The old code would have gone by now, how long ago was it fitted?

About three months ago. How easy is it to do cambelt kit. How much does it cost. Can i get same from Pentagon??? I am in love with my Miggy and would not want it packed. It has done 162K and the only thing done was to change Oil, filter and Crank Sensor.

I should clarify, as I suspect the OP runs in kilometres, that it is 40,000 miles, not 40,000 km :)

You can get a how to DVD from the forum which shows you how to change the cambelt kit, you will need a locking kit to do this job.
