Title: headlight leveling motors removal
Post by: mathewst on 19 May 2009, 08:47:09
Got to check these, but want to make sure how to safely remove them cause dont wan to break anything.
What is the easiest and the safest way to do this? Do you just pull them out or they have some way of releasing them?
If anyoune has some tips and has done this I would be really grateful for the advice

If you mean the ones on the back of the headlight then they are a bayonet fitting  :y

It will be easier to remove the whole headlight off the car first and then try to remove the motor, than to try to remove the motor while the headlight is still on the car. Visibility will be better and things will be easier to hold.

connection to the headlight it a plastic ball joint that 'pops' into the socket on back of light.

Motor twists to release from housing then pull out ball joint but like already said it maybe easier to do with headlight removed.

(in fact i think you'll find lack of space makes it impossible to do without removing headlight :-/)
