My car has 2 keys but only one has the ECU transponder in it! how much is a replacement transponder? and are they still availible of vauxhall?
ive got the carpass so reprogramming it will be required?

A new key fob off ebay might be a lot cheaper !!!
I've just bought 2 at £25 each, as mine are naff, these are both in very good condition.
The actual key part is easily changeable and a quick session with a tech2+carpass will get the electronics working..:)

thanks entwood never thought to try ebay just bought a complete key off our friend in Heathrow (Omega Car Spares) for the pricely sum of £18 including p&p
it says it has the fob & chip included and a blank blade which i dont need as my old one will fit

Make sure you get the right one as there are different remotes for alarmed/non alarmed and pre/post facelift.
Loads of Ebay sellers list their remotes as suitable for just about every model going.
You can't even guarantee what on the back of the case (if you can still read it) is the same as the circuit board inside.
Try this link below for reference.
The remotes are at the bottom of the page

ve ordered a key of a 99 Omega like my'n the standard 2 button one
i only need the Small chip and nothing else as i have a complkete spare key minus a chip
Mr Ebay seller has posted it too me today :D

If it programs in Ok and cuts out after starting, its most likely a used chip that's now "locked"
If it doesn't program in, same problem.
