				Hi all,

Recently whilst driving my car I could smell coolant. Then, after a short trip out, I noticed a puddle of coolant under the car. I put my hand round the back and felt the HBV and it was wet.
What I can't understand is I have pressed "off" on the climate control and the leak seems to have dissappeared. Is this a common symptom of the HBV or am I barking up the wrong tree?
However, I am off to Rob's at the weekend and we'll change it anyway but should I expect an unpleasant suprise?

 Thanks
 Mike

				Sounds like it to me :y :y :y :y

Not too bad a job to do TBH... Took me longer to get the wipers and scuttle off than it did to do the rest of the job, including re-assembly! ::) ::)

Yes that is the HBV alright, with all the symptons pointing to that common fault! ::) ::) ;)

Yes, based on what you have said it's the HBV  :y

I'm not very quick but now you have 4 opinions that it is the hbv  :D

What threw me out was the fact that the leaked stopped when the heater / ac was off. I wasn't aware that this would be the case.

We are doing it Saturday and will probably take the plenum off and go in that way. Scuttles are a pain!

Thank you all for the advice.

				It sure was my HBV.

Just got back from RobseyMV6's after we fitted a new one.

 All seems OK now.

 Thanks, as ever Rob.
