Hi, Did you have A/C on. May be damp but to be honest I have had mine sat for 2 months while I was a way more than once and its never been a problem on first start. Maybe worth doing pedal trick to see if it logged anything.

Try the paperclip test it might help. can you take the revs up higher than 4500rpm when driving? or does it start to stutter?

Hi guys...thnx for ur help/comments. - hmmm its strange.....yea, i can floor it and rev it high...no probs.
went out this morning; had the same - ok starting; ok tickin over in P; soon as i put it into D it is lumpy/intermittent missin sort o thing.  Then, on way home, went into a slight right hand bend about 45/50, as i straightened, it was missin and then EML came on, was flashing, then went off - then it drove ok/normal. hmmmmmm strange one.
i will do the p/clip test see if anything comes up - cheers guys for your help - catch u later  :y :y

Hi just a quick thought but only a novice could this be shi--t in the petrol tank or fuel filter i had the same on a rover sterling auto if i went around a corner or stopped quick . found that i had more water in the tank than petrol and as you say you had the car standing for awhile has water got in the tank somehow? on the rover it had a fuel filter in the engine bay i found rust and water in it to a level that it could tick over ok but if the car would go on a slant it would block the filter outlet pipe the missing was the car trying to run on water.but we drove from Devon to Grantham like that last year before i found out what it was so what people might say about rovers (they do run well on water lol lol).
just a thought but as i say just a novice
